Multibond SMX50

A hybrid-polymer adhesive and sealant supplied in 600 ml foil packs for elastic bonding and sealing on compatible construction materials.

Features

  • Superb adhesion to most substrates – can be used as a long-lasting adhesive
  • Permanent elasticity and flexibility – can be used as a sealant
  • Can be painted over immediately, even with water-based paints
  • Very good adhesion to many common materials, including suitable slightly moist surfaces. For continuous immersion, choose a product designed for that exposure.
  • Excellent resistance to weather and UV
  • No smell, solvent-free, isocyanate-free
  • Solvent- and isocyanate-free formulation; consult the current SDS for safe handling
  • Fast curing without the need of a primer

Chemical Resistance

Good resistance to water, aliphatic solvents, hydrocarbons, ketones, esters, alcohols, diluted mineral acids and alkalis and (salt) water. Poor resistance to aromatic solvents, concentrated acids and chlorinated hydrocarbons.

  1. 01

    Check that both materials suit the product and follow its curing requirements.

  2. 02

    Make surfaces sound, clean and free from dust, oil, grease and release agents; abrade or prime only as recommended for the selected product.

  3. 03

    Apply the recommended bead, dot or coverage pattern, join the parts within the working time, press firmly and support them where necessary.

  4. 04

    Allow the full cure time stated for the site conditions before loading or exposing the bond.
