Product selection
A good seal starts with clean, prepared surfaces and a product that can handle the joint’s movement and surroundings. Joint size, backing material and primer can matter just as much as the sealant itself.

Rigid high-temperature pastes are different from flexible movement-joint sealants.
Sealants

A low-modulus neutral-cure sanitary silicone for high-humidity joints, glazing and compatible building materials. It contains a fungicidal additive and is not paintable.
A neutral-cure silicone for cleanrooms, laboratories, industrial kitchens, food-processing spaces and other critical interiors where the project requires supporting test reports.
An elastic silicone adhesive-sealant formulated for all-glass aquarium, terrarium and glass-construction work, with joint dimensions and curing planned before filling.
An acetoxy silicone gasket sealant for suitable metal components in engines, pumps and heating equipment. It remains elastic after cure and is rated for service temperatures up to 285°C.
A neutral, elastic silicone sealant for tested fire-resistant joint and penetration systems. The rating depends on the construction, joint size and backing material in the test report.
An elastic SMX hybrid-polymer sealant and adhesive for tested passive-fire joint systems. It combines movement capability with the performance of the complete tested assembly.
A flexible polyurethane sealant that swells in contact with water. It is used in water- and gas-tight pipe, cable and concrete-joint details that provide the required confinement.
A ready-to-use sodium-silicate sealing paste for high-temperature interior joints on stoves, ovens and fireplaces. It dries to a rigid, non-elastic seal with a documented temperature resistance of −40°C to +1500°C.
A hard-setting sodium-silicate paste designed for static interior joints and openings exposed to high temperatures.
Singapore conditions
