Product description

Inside cable and pipe penetrations

Soudapack WST remains flexible rather than curing hard, allowing later cable changes while maintaining the documented seal. Use the required backing depth, keep cables separated, fill without voids and finish the opening with Soudaplug ST.

Water-pressure performance

A correctly installed system resists up to 3 m of water pressure. This performance depends on the complete penetration detail, including the opening, cables or pipes, backing depth, fill and Soudaplug ST finish.

  1. 01

    Confirm that a water-swelling seal suits the detail, including the substrate, the expected water pressure, the available joint or annular space and the confinement the design relies on.

  2. 02

    Prepare sound, clean surfaces and remove dust, grease, laitance and loose material so the product is enclosed by solid substrate.

  3. 03

    Apply a continuous bead or fill the specified section without voids or trapped air, keeping the distance from the substrate edge stated in the technical data sheet.

  4. 04

    Provide the backing, packing and closing detail the documented system requires; an unconfined swelling seal expands without sealing the detail.

  5. 05

    Keep the detail free from running water until the product has reached the state described in the technical data sheet.
