A low-modulus neutral-cure sanitary silicone for high-humidity joints, glazing and compatible building materials. It contains a fungicidal additive and is not paintable.

Silirub 2S is a neutral, low-modulus, mould-resistant silicone supplied as a non-paintable finish and designed for substrates other than natural stone. For food-contact applications, follow the relevant certificate for the intended joint and exposure.

Confirm that the sealant, joint movement capability and evidence are suitable for the proposed joint and exposure.
Remove dust, grease, laitance, old sealant and loose coatings. Use the recommended primer or surface treatment where required.
Use a suitable backing material where required, apply a continuous bead without trapping air and tool the joint before skin formation.
Protect the joint from movement, water and contamination until it has cured sufficiently for service.
