Soudal Singapore product

Gasketseal

An acetoxy silicone gasket sealant for suitable metal components, engines, pumps and heating equipment, remaining elastic after cure and resisting documented service temperatures up to 285°C.

Product description

Where it fits

Forming elastic gasket and sealing rings between suitable metal components in engines, pumps and heating installations.

Service performance

Service temperatures range from -60°C to +285°C, with resistance to fuels, oils and grease. For the best result, match it to the actual metal, fluid and operating cycle; PE, PP, PTFE and bituminous substrates require a different product.

Preparation and application

Follow the product instructions step by step.

Use the guidance and documents for your chosen product. Contact us if the English TDS or SDS you need is not listed below.

  1. 01

Confirm that the sealant, joint movement capability and evidence are suitable for the proposed joint and exposure.

  2. 02

Remove dust, grease, laitance, old sealant and loose coatings. Use the recommended primer or surface treatment where required.

  3. 03

Use a suitable backing material where required, apply a continuous bead without trapping air and tool the joint before skin formation.

  4. 04

Protect the joint from movement, water and contamination until it has cured sufficiently for service.

For the best result

Match the product to the materials and application.

These practical points help you achieve a reliable result.

  • For sanitary, food-area, cleanroom or fire-resistant work, choose a product whose current documentation covers the intended use and system.
  • Match the product and preparation to the joint dimensions, movement, substrate porosity, coatings and environmental exposure.
  • For the best result, follow the current technical and safety information for the selected product.
  • For unfamiliar materials, coatings or site conditions, test adhesion and compatibility on the prepared surface first.
