An elastic silicone adhesive-sealant formulated for all-glass aquarium, terrarium and glass-construction work, with joint dimensions and curing planned before filling.
Silirub AQ is intended for manufacturing and repairing all-glass aquaria and terraria and for compatible glass-to-glass or glass-to-aluminium assemblies.
Once fully cured, the sealant is neutral, sea-water resistant and free from fungicides toxic to fish. Design the aquarium glass thickness and joint dimensions carefully, prepare the surfaces correctly and allow a complete cure before filling.

Before starting, check that the sealant suits the joint movement and exposure and that you have any supporting report the project requires.
Remove dust, grease, laitance, old sealant and loose coatings. Use the recommended primer or surface treatment where required.
Use a suitable backing material where required, apply a continuous bead without trapping air and tool the joint before skin formation.
Protect the joint from movement, water and contamination until it has cured sufficiently for service.

A low-modulus neutral-cure sanitary silicone for high-humidity joints, glazing and compatible building materials. It contains a fungicidal additive and is not paintable.
A neutral-cure silicone for cleanrooms, laboratories, industrial kitchens, food-processing spaces and other critical interiors where the project requires supporting test reports.
An acetoxy silicone gasket sealant for suitable metal components in engines, pumps and heating equipment. It remains elastic after cure and is rated for service temperatures up to 285°C.
