An elastic silicone adhesive-sealant formulated for all-glass aquarium, terrarium and glass-construction work, with joint dimensions and curing planned before filling.
Silirub AQ is intended for manufacturing and repairing all-glass aquaria and terraria and for compatible glass-to-glass or glass-to-aluminium assemblies.
Once fully cured, the sealant is neutral, sea-water resistant and free from fungicides toxic to fish. Design the aquarium glass thickness and joint dimensions carefully, prepare the surfaces correctly and allow a complete cure before filling.

Confirm that the sealant, joint movement capability and evidence are suitable for the proposed joint and exposure.
Remove dust, grease, laitance, old sealant and loose coatings. Use the recommended primer or surface treatment where required.
Use a suitable backing material where required, apply a continuous bead without trapping air and tool the joint before skin formation.
Protect the joint from movement, water and contamination until it has cured sufficiently for service.
