Silirub Cleanroom is intended for sealing in hospitals, laboratories, cleanrooms, food-processing and storage areas, industrial kitchens and sanitary spaces.
Available reports cover mould resistance, very low emissions and specific food-contact, disinfection and microorganism-barrier performance. Match the relevant report to the project cleaning regime, substrate and requirements.
Preparation and application

Confirm that the sealant, joint movement capability and evidence are suitable for the proposed joint and exposure.
Remove dust, grease, laitance, old sealant and loose coatings. Use the recommended primer or surface treatment where required.
Use a suitable backing material where required, apply a continuous bead without trapping air and tool the joint before skin formation.
Protect the joint from movement, water and contamination until it has cured sufficiently for service.
