An elastic SMX hybrid-polymer sealant and adhesive for tested passive-fire joint systems. It combines movement capability with the performance of the complete tested assembly.
Soudaseal FR combines the movement capability of a hybrid polymer with use in tested passive-fire systems for selected window, door, expansion and connection joints.
Some systems tested to EN 1366-4 or BS 476 Part 20 are rated for up to four hours. Follow the current application manual for the joint size, backing, wall or floor and any project requirements.

Before starting, check that the sealant suits the joint movement and exposure and that you have any supporting report the project requires.
Remove dust, grease, laitance, old sealant and loose coatings. Use the recommended primer or surface treatment where required.
Use a suitable backing material where required, apply a continuous bead without trapping air and tool the joint before skin formation.
Protect the joint from movement, water and contamination until it has cured sufficiently for service.
