Calofer is a specialist rigid seal for suitable ovens, fireplaces, boilers and other heat-exposed mineral or metal details. Its hard-setting formulation is designed for static joints.

Confirm that the sealant, joint movement capability and evidence are suitable for the proposed joint and exposure.
Remove dust, grease, laitance, old sealant and loose coatings. Use the recommended primer or surface treatment where required.
Use a suitable backing material where required, apply a continuous bead without trapping air and tool the joint before skin formation.
Protect the joint from movement, water and contamination until it has cured sufficiently for service.
